What is an Activation Code?
An activation code is a simple 4-digit number that connects your physical TapTap Buddy safety tag to your online account. Think of it as a digital PIN that unlocks your tag's safety features.
Activation Code Format:
Your code is just 4 numbers, like:
1234or5678Default code: 0000 (if you haven't received a custom code)

One Code Per Device
Each TapTap Buddy device has its own unique 4-digit activation code. If you ordered multiple devices, you'll receive multiple codes via email.
Where to Find Your Activation Code
For Online Orders: Check Your Email
When you purchase TapTap Buddy online, your 4-digit activation code(s) are sent to the email address you used during checkout. Look for an email with the subject "Your TapTap Buddy Activation Codes" or "Order Confirmation".

Default Code: 0000
If you haven't received a custom activation code via email, try the default code 0000. Some tags may use this default code until you receive your personalized code.

During tag activation, if you're prompted for a code and haven't received one yet, enter 0000. If that doesn't work, contact our support team.

Common Issues & Solutions
I can't find my confirmation email
Check your spam/junk folder. Search for "TapTap Buddy" or "hello@taptapbuddy.com". Still can't find it? Learn how to recover your code.
My 4-digit code doesn't work
Try the default code 0000 first. If that doesn't work, double-check that you're entering all 4 digits correctly. Still having issues? See our troubleshooting guide or contact support.
I lost my activation code
Don't worry! Your code was sent to your order confirmation email. You can also try the default code 0000.
I ordered multiple tags
Each tag gets its own unique 4-digit code. Check your order confirmation email for a list of all codes. Learn about managing multiple tags.
